Křest alba “Ci vediamo, Goldoni!”

Nové studiové album „Ci vediamo, Goldoni!“, které vyšlo 22. května, se poprvé představí v živém provedení. Slavnostní křest a koncertní premiéra proběhnou 26. června 2026 v pražském klubu Jazz Dock. Kolekce skladeb, jež původně vznikla pro divadelní inscenaci, tak nyní dostává svůj samostatný koncertní život.

Základ tohoto projektu se zrodil jako autorská hudba pro jubilejní představení komedie Carla Goldoniho Poprask na laguně v Divadle na Vinohradech. Divadelní scéna má však svá specifická pravidla, a tak v představení zní skladby pouze v omezených stopážích. Nová studiová nahrávka nabízí mnohem velkorysejší rozměr a přináší celkem deset skladeb v plné, dosud nezveřejněné podobě. Shahab do nich vtiskl nespoutaný temperament italských ulic, vůni moře i energii benátských přístavů, jež sahají daleko za hranice divadelního jeviště.

Klíčovým prvkem alba je odvážná hudební fúze „moderního retra“ a avantgardy. V kompozicích se sice využívá zvuk mandoly, ale místo tradičního trsátka nastupuje precizní prstová technika typická pro perský setar. Historické dialekty, jako jsou sicilština, neapolština či sardinština, se navíc mění v rytmické motory moderních skladeb, kde se benátské serenády potkávají s valčíky nebo výbušnými tarantelami. Tento neotřelý koncept, kterému špičkový sound dodalo studio Sono Records a zvukový mistr Milan Cimfe, vyšel na CD a prémiovém 180g vinylu.

Živý křest v Jazz Docku nabídne divákům exkluzivní dramaturgii rozdělenou do dvou odlišných polovin. První část večera přinese koncertní premiéru skladeb z nového alba, které vůbec poprvé zazní v podání zcela nové formace vzniklé speciálně pro tento slavnostní večer. Shahaba Tolouieho v ní doprovodí kytarista Tomislav Zvardoň a perkusista Tokhi.

Druhá polovina večera pak diváky vrátí ke kořenům Shahabovy tvorby. Se svým stálým Triem, v němž působí basista Gavrilo Aleksič a bubeník Petr Hádr, provede publikum staršími skladbami v jedinečném stylu EthnoFlamenco. Návštěvníci se tak mohou těšit na neopakovatelný večer plný hudebních kontrastů, divadelní poetiky a virtuozity. Vstupenky jsou již v prodeji na stránkách klubu Jazz Dock a fyzické nosiče bude možné zakoupit přímo na místě.

This album actually started back in 2024 on the stage of Prague’s Vinohrady Theatre. I was writing the music for Carlo Goldoni’s Le baruffe chiozzotte, but the more I lived with these characters and their stories, the more I realized the music needed a life of its own, outside the theater walls.

I didn’t want to make a “folk” record in the traditional sense. Instead, I took these gritty, centuries-old working-class lyrics and completely stripped away their old melodies. I wanted to hear what happens when you treat ancient Italian dialects—Sicilian, Neapolitan, Sardinian—not like museum pieces, but like raw, rhythmic engines.

There’s a specific sound on this record I’m really excited for you to hear. I took the mandola, a classic Italian instrument, but I threw away the pick. I played it using the fingerstyle technique of the Persian setar. It gives the strings a sharp, biting energy that feels very modern, even though the soul of it is still grounded in the Mediterranean.

We’ve put a lot of love into the production. Milan Cimfe at Sono Records helped me dial in the sound, and we’re releasing it on 180g heavyweight vinyl and CD for those who still love to hold the music in their hands.

The journey starts on May 8 with the first single, “Serenata della spiaggia,” followed by a second track “Non è la morte la fin de l’amore” on May 15, and the full album with lead song “La Baldoria” on May 22.
